Overview
|
Turning Point: Fall of Liberty takes place in the year 1958, in a alternate reality where Prime Minister, Winston Churchhill, died from his wounds suffered by being hit by a taxi and was not there to inspire the British people to fight back against the growing Nazi threat.
Thus, never allowing the Americans to garrison troops in England for the assault known as D-Day. The Nazi's were thus allowed to take over all of Europe and eventually Russia and then turned their attention to the United States for a full scale invasion.
The storyline and theme for the game were quite sound and made a great plot that the game could follow. The developers wanted the technology in the game to reflect what really might have been if the Germans were never defeated. Such as all of the experimental planes and vehicles they were working on towards the end of the war.
The graphics in the game are quite impressive and the developers did an excellent job constructing each level such as the first level in New York City. The feeling of New York being invaded by the German forces was quite overwhelming and very well executed.
The game-play while being quite good, is not completely flawless. The AI of the enemy is at times shaky but amazingly good, such as in one case, a German soldier took cover behind a vehicle rather then a wooden crate, even though the crate was closer.
